Procedure for pulling codes from the climate control in Techinfo. Only works for 92/93, so you're in luck.

Probably keepalive memory lost. If you have the battery disconnected for too long, it can happen, but check the codes to be sure.

152 - I'm not surprised, with the battery disconnected.

140 - Are you having any other problems with the system?

The HVAC programmer wants to see somewhat cooler than interior temperature sensor air being fed from the plenum into the distibution ducts before it will allow the dash vent door to open.

In other words, the sytem is designed to work the way yours does. Generally, the heated air is more comfortable being directed toward the floor & rising. Hot air blowing from the dash vents is extremely dry & uncomfortable for our eyes.

In other words, the auto climate control is smarter than the owner, in this case David?
