Default is a 93 worth $1000?

i know a guy that'* selling his 93 SE, the car is dirty because he has kids, i put a motor mount and tranny filter in it about a month ago.
he'* giving me first chance to get the car, financing isnt a problem, but is the car worth it?
it'* got crash damage, the right headlight is bashed in and the turn singal is gone, the fender is cracked and peices are gone.
he ran into the back of a truck bout a year or so ago
the car is dirty throughout, but that doesnt bother me
i went to KBB online and they say the car is worth $1400 in my area
i guess what i'm really asking is are there any demons in this car or will it be a fun car to take apart?

i want the car bad, ima try to talk him down to $700 today
i want the car mostly for fun but also so i can sell the 87 to my sister, she needs a reliable, economical car that i can fix and i cant think of a better car
plus she'* got like no money for a car now, and no car dealership will let her pay them back, they tend to want money up front for cheap used cars

Sounds like you know it well enough -- if you've been working on the trans yourself, it sounds like he wouldn't be able to hide any other problems from you, especially if you've driven it before. The headlamp and fender stuff are bolt-on replacements. I'd go for it...

Definatly the whole front end on a bonne can be bolted right on from an other bonne. 1000 is a great deal for a 93 Bonne .... I bought mine a year ago for 1500 but I have done alot of work on it to make it look normal... Including reduing rockerpanels and alot of tedious things.. Sounds like yours is strait forward in what you have to do and it is well worth the 1000 + Id say about 200 in body parts and a lil in paint... and youll have a great ride... well worth it...
