Water leak in trunk and floor board.
From what I hear this is a common problem? I have water in my trunk and on the rear drivers side floor board. I just got home from an overseas trip and found it then. I would have to believe its got to be rain but how is it getting in? Is there and easy fix, or hard? Has anyone else had this problem.
Thanks,
Rodney

sunroof drains disconnected or your door seals have shrunken, that would describe your interior problems as for the trunk..... your back window might be leaking, your taillights might have a leak

I addressed my leak problems three ways:
1) Changed the sunroof gasket to a seamless one. Part number is in Techinfo
2) Both of my rear sunroof drains were disconnected. They were cleaned out with compressed air and reinserted using silicone to prevent them from coming out again
3) Applied a "rope caulk" on the trim above the doors to prevent water from entering the door seals. Here'* a link for more details: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=21410
So far, so good although my windows still seem fo fog up more than I think they should during rainy days. I'd like to find a huge desiccant and put it in the spare tire well. That otta do the trick.

I had a bad leak in the trunk. I found the threaded studs that attach the tail light assembly to the body had broken loose. (2 of 3 I think) I reattached them with goop cement and allowed 72hrs dry time. Then reinstalled and it is dry ever since.
These things really scoop in the water if they aren't tight. I had to use the wet vac to suck a gallon of water out of the spare tire well.

And apply a thin bead of silicone caulking to the rubber/glass union at the bottom of the rear window.
The rear window and sunroof drains are the two most likely culprits.

I too, have a leak in my trunk. It only happens with heavy rains, and I don't have a sunroof. I got in the car, and had a friend take the hose, and spray all around the deck lid. I found it to be the seal around the deck lid to be the culprit. It only seems to happen when a lot of rain passes around it, before it can drain, since the seal sucks. A complete replacement of all weatherstripping for my car, is available through JCW, but for $80! Guess I will have to wait to fix it.
