As long as it still holds the filter and mounts in the car, should be fine....

I thought about opening mine up more, but the Missus had things for me to do before we head out tonight

Pulley. But good luck. You'll have KR at that level of boost.

So many abreviations, so little time..

what is KR? lol

as for the air box gutting.....It looks like I have to do this. How much of an increase should I hear, and feel, using a new, cheap AC delco air filter, on my 96 ? I don't have a K&N yet. I'm a conservative driver, (usually have kids with me) , so, I'm probably more interested in the sound for now. I have never owned a supercharged engine before, so, therefore, I don't know what to expect. I know it whines, and doesn't growl...makes sense due to the supercharger, but how much louder will it be?

Yes, knock retard. You can't run the M90 to the same boost levels as the M62 without alot of supporting mods, because the VE and AE of the M90 are better than the M62. Much like the difference in the 92/93 to 94/95 SC comparison. You get more flow per stroke from 92/93 to 94/95 and to 96+.

I did my air box this evening with my son, and I swear I feel a difference. Even at slow speeds, the engine feels more responsive. Maybe it'* just me, but it feels different to me.. I like the sound too. It'* not bad at all. sounds pretty raw.

Thanks for the ideas guys.. and gals..
