So far, the Air Hog has been great. It feels a lot better than the stock filter because it'* thicker and heavier. Not sure what kind of gains it gets ya, but they're supoosed to be comparable to the K&N'*
It'* in the kitchen drying after it'* first cleaning right now...

The only thing I noticed was more sound, and instead of the filter being dirty on one circular area the whole filter would get dirty, this told me the engine was getting more air( next to the smile on my face )... I replaced the Filter in the box every 4-6 months... Its worth it... Trust me...

I crumbled mine into pieces... Let me look and see If I have some pics on this PC...
I actually took a pair of needle nose pliers and broke mine out in pieces... My hand was tired when I was done... I sheered the tabs off but they were still solid... So I started breaking out plastic, being careful not to damage the box...

And there doesn't seem to be any extra dirt or rain. Just a bigger dirty spot on the filter. Prior to the Air Hog, I flipped mine end for end at 3 months or so, and replaced it at 6
