Default Guess the noise Verdict 03-13-08

Alright Ill try to explain this noise (95 ssei supercharged)

When I start the car there seems to be a whistling sound coming from the passenger side, As I give it gas it seems to get louder, once I let off on the gas it goes back to just the normal whistle sound, It sounds almost like a vacum leak, but I have checked all the lines, Im guessing its the power steering pump?? Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks

Conclusion::
I had to replace all tensioner pulleys, This is what the dealer report says:

Found idler and both tensioner pullies were very loud, Must replace 1st than retest wait for ok, replace both belt tensioner and idler pulley, replace both belts, Now there seems to be an issue with the alignment on replacement supercharger to much in and out play, contact customer to inform.

Turn the wheel while parked at idle. Does the noise get any louder? You might have a pulley going out also.

Default guess the noise

I had something happen just like this. Check down by the AC compressor for metal filings on or near the clutch.

You're going to think this is weird...but...

I had the same issue with my 1996 SSEi ever since I bought it.

Everyone had a different opinion. It'* the water pump. It'* the power steering pump. Alternator. Durned */C'*, hate 'em!

Turned out to be a $3 PCV valve making all that whistling.

Always check the simple things first.
