P0336, intermittent stalling.
Replaced cranksensor, $125 (part $45, rest labor.) Oh well, I didn't have to screw around with it.

P0306, replaced plug wires (they were original, the should be bad right?) Worked fine for a couple days, then back to missing. Mech doing crank sensor said the sensor could do this also so we should go ahead and replace crank sensor. Still missing. So I go to swap coil positions to see if miss follows coils. They all test the same. Engine still cold so decide to check plugs. Hop on top of engine, reach down to #6 and pull of wire. Grab socket and put it on #6 plug and the thing is turning by hand! I says to myself, this can't be good. Get plug out and the top part of the ground electrode is gone. They are iridiums. Pull the front three and they are all good. It'* Sunday morning, July 4th weekend and the only thing open all day is Walmart. All they have is Autolite and Bosch. Having read that SC'* don't like platinum and Bosch, I grab 6 605'* for $6 and replace all of them. The snap is back.

There can't be more than 50,000 on the iridium'*, and I though they were supposed to be good for 100,000. When I get somewhere to get another iridium, I'll put them back in. Or should I replace all 6.

The moral of the story is check everything, take nothing for granted.

I should prolly check my plugs, haven't had them in that long, but the way the car runs.....wouldn't suprise me if I've screwed them up already

Well at least you don't have to worry about the crank senser had to replace mine on the 96 at about 150000 MI.

Interesting, I bet somehow you had a miss or something (possibly from the loose plug) and had a detonation that blew the electrode off the plug.

Had those same plugs in my truck for a 100K and while needing to be gapped, they looked great. Put them into both my cars and so far they are fantastic.

Sounds like plugs are the same conditon as mine were i my car.I betting mine were orinigal had 142,000 on them. My plugs are original they still like new and I did a reisitenace test to them and with in spec. So Ieft them in.
