I think you found your problem. First thing is find the leak and stop it. Get the inside of the car dry. Clean all electrical connections, like the ground buss under the driver side carpet that are corroded and causing you issues.
Randman1 had a similar problem. His leaks were bad. Once they were fixed, the car was dried out and the grounds cleaned. Never had another problem.

Start pulling the car interior apart..you'll need to get it dried up to fix the problem.
