Default slow take off 94 bonnie

my 94 bonnie se seems like it is taking off like the ebrake is on ,checked the brakes and they are all fine.when it gets to around 20 kph it works fine,the rpms go up normally but it just doesnt seem to want to go anywhere fast.anyone might know what is causing this or has it happenend to anyone? thanks

When was the last time you did a tune up, changed the fuel filter etc?

I think i found my Twin Bonne

Affter i see if i have a fuel problem... i let you know if that if what is couseing my car to act the same way as yours.

Or it could just be the 2.84 gears :?

Default hey thanks

i have done a tune up recently ,and it is a new motor , i used the same trans mission i had because it was new about 6 months ago . the rpms are working accordingly but it doesnt seem to want to move untill it hits around 2000 rpm,fluids are fine. and it has a new sending unit and feul pump.thanks bandit good to know i gotta gutless twin!!!

Do you have traction control or ABS? Those could be doing something weird, possibly.

There are many things that can cause the car to seem slow.

Fuel pressure being low
Clogged catalytic
Overly dirty throttle body.

i fave recently found out that my car is starting off in second gear because my speedometer is not working ,doesnt make sence to me but the guy that told me has done trannys for 30 years,he says that it isnt getting propper shift points so it put itself in "mode b" he called it. i havent got it fixed yet but when i do i will post ,thanks for the info everyone tho

That woulda helped with the diagnosis a little... So you need a new vehicle speed sensor.
