Default Wind Noise

My car has over 175,000 on it, and it'* almost 10 years old. It'* an old car, and things wear out.

When I'm on the freeway, or travelling at fairly high speeds ... speed > 50, there is a lot of wind noise. I actually start to get comments about it from people. It doesn't bother me, but I would like to fill in the gaps to make it quiet again.

What do I have to do? Do I have to change the weather stripping? How much work would this be?

You gotta find the leaks, first. Put your climate control on Economy, and turn the fan all the way up. Get out, and close the doors. Get your finger wet, and move it around all the doors/windows/sunroof. The pressure should be higher in the car after a couple minutes of this, and you should be able to find the leak. It'* most likely one of the front doors or the sunroof.

go to a carwash with a high pressure washer... see what happens, where stuff comes in. Otherwise get some 200 MPH tape job....

I got nasty wind noise too, but neither the pressure wash nor the wet finger test has found anything. Doesnt bother me at all.

I get a lot of wind noise too, but I think it'* more the design of our cars that causes it.
