Generally my car will stall out when its time to put 12 gallons in, so I would assume this means I have a tank between 12-14 gallons, or the fuel pump just doesn't pick up the last of the gallons, which wouldn't be unusual for a GM.
But anyway, I generally get 180 miles out of this tank and I am done, where I used to be able to get like 320, so I KNOW there obviously something up. At first I just counted it by the days. I thought, "hey I used to get four days of commute out of this thing before fueling, and now I get two."

thanks for the help guys i just put in my O2 after school then i hooked it up to the tech 2 and it said the IAT was throwing a code so i checked it and it was unplugged...weird thing is it didnt even set the check engine light, but i hooked it back up cleared the code. would the IAT senser cuase bad gas milage? i thought maybe with it not knowing the incoming air temp it would run rich but im not sure. and talkin to my dad he thinks i might have a cracked LIM at first it sounded almost like an exhaust leak but its right around the back of the motor so more investigation is on the way and this is gettin long so im out - cody

Do you by chance have anything that resembles or sounds like an exahust leak?
I have pretty much never seen a TPI 3800 with a cracked intake manifold...
But its possible that the exahust manifold may need to be tightened as there are no gaskets between the exahust manifold and the head... Also there is a slight possibility that you could have a cracked exahust manifold...
\
Just a couple of things for you to glance at...
If in the end you still think you have an intake issue than it may be a good idea to replace and check the intake gaskets...

My 96 sucks it up too in stop and go.
Found a fuel additive that is helping it.
I think its the New England fuel formula.
Can't do anything about it.

I got a solid 20mpg with alot of city and working on the car. So it was running for long periods of time for me working on stuff.
Then I put in my first tank of super unleaded as suggested by the group. My mileage has dropped like a rock to around 15mpg on this tank. I believe it'* because I haven't taken my foot off WOT yet.

I changed the O2 sensor last week as reported and wound up getting an extra day'* worth of driving out of a tank. I'll take it. Right now I use 87 octane gas, but that'* only because I couldn't see the difference in MPG between 87 and 91/93 octane.
I don't really have any more work to do on my 93 as far as MPG is concerned. Now... the fun stuff! :D
