I am also interested in cleaning my TB, but find the TechInfo page on it a little vague. Can anyone link me up to a more detailed (and newbie learner friendly) set of instructions, maybe even with pictures?

I strongly recommend a new O2.... If the car runs good I'd be very tempted to say that the MAF is fine.... a cleaning wouldn't hurt it tho...
For the Plugs, Ac Delco, Autolite, NGK'* and the like are fine... steer clear of Bosch..
The Older 1 wire O2'* like the 92'* used did not have a long life expectancy.... 60k seemed to be the point where most would drop off... and your mileage numbers seem to match up with a pretty much dead O2 sensor... If you do the proper searches most of the time you can get an AC Delco O2 for $20 to your front door.... I always get 2 or 3 of these at a time being that I have 2 cars that use them and a few friends that have cars that use them as well..
Your 92 should do no worse than 17-18 with you beating on it..

I do occasionally hear a knocking sort of sound when I'm anywhere from 1.7k - 2.3k on my tachometer, and accelerating a little bit. Not sure if this is normal or what, but it'* not like it sputters or dies.
