The Quad Driver Modules are part of the ECM. Sorry I'm so late.
How'* the trans shifting?
Clear the codes and disconnect the vacuum line to the vacuum canister on the front of the trans and drive it -don't do it too hard -as you will notice the trans will be giving full line pressure shifts, but allow the trans to shift without slipping.
After a short drive (5-10 miles with multiple up and down shifts) scan again and see if the code is still there. Me thinks you are getting some tc slippage.
Have you flushed the tranny fluid lately?

He had done a bunch of valve work before on his trans already trying to fix this. We also swapped my PCM for his and that ade no fifference.

He has a hell of a time trying to break the tires free from a dead stop. I was able to veave 20ft marks...lol. We also notice when we were scanning that the PCM would indicate the 2nd gear engaugement, but it wouldn't actually shift into 2nd for about two more seconds after the indication from the PCM. 3rd and 4th shifted rigtht when the PCM indicated, no lag like first.

Hmm. Makes me wonder about the ignition. Something not right there maybe?
I'm no techie, but I'm going to say it is either trans slipping (not enough for you to feel, but enough for the TC sensor to notice) or the ignition module.
If Andrew wants I've got a spare ignition system here he can have for the cost of shipping (roughly $7-$8 ). I just bought it for the bracket to adapt the 1999 L67 ignition/coil packs on to my Lesabre, so he'd need to take the mounting plate from the bottom of his ignition module and put it on this.

The 1st to 2nd shift is harsh. You can feel it slipping into gear and then slamming as it fully engauges, but only in 1st. All other gears are just fine. Now for the rough idle at some startups, that could be a number of things from ignition parts, to fuel delivery, to god knows what...

My personaly opiinon on this....Now reading this.....I think that maybe he'* got a bad solenoid for the shift....Or going bad I should say....Prolly sticking. I also think that mybe he'* lost his first gea,r and he'* doing 2nd gear take off'*. Everything that he worked on last weekend in the trans isn't in the same area and the shift solenoid either I don't believe.

That'* my $.02
