Default Transmission issue

ok. The transmission in my 93 SSEi has been acting up lately.

Symptoms:
after being parked for an extended period of time (work day) when I start the car up and go to put it in gear, it won't go into gear when I select the overdrive position. I can move it down to the drive position and still nothing. If I move it down to the 2 or 1 position, it bangs into gear, then runs fine the rest of the trip, save for a little bit slower shifts.

The car is currently driven daily.

I had an issue where my trans wouldn't go into gear after it would sit over night.
A fulid/filter change made it stop.
Might want to give that a shot.
