Battery drained after hot spell
Yesterday was hotter than hell. I drove my 99 bonnie and when I parked it I noticed the blower fan remained on. I figured it was some kind of cooling process, so I went on with my other business. This morning, I got up to find the battery drained and when I inserted the key it won't release it. Any idea what this may be? So far it has been a relatively troublefree car.

Locate the blower motor relay and try replacing it with the horn relay. Warning that your relay is probably stuck in the on position and the horn will sound.
If this is the case replace the relay and charge up the battery. Hopefully it should come back w/o any issues.

With a dead battery ensure the car is in park and it should release. If that doesn't work, then I'd check the cable from the shifter to the column. they can stick or hold it up from time to time.
