Default Power Steering Pump Issues

My power steering pump pulley is making clicking/ticking sounds. I have to drive about 11 hours tomorrow with the car, and I know that I will probably need to replace the pump in the long run. This thing wont like fall apart on me will it? Should I be able to make this trip with the pulley making sounds, or is it totally a bad idea to do so without fixing it?

That'* hard to say without looking at the car. The pump could seize up in one mile, or go another 10k miles.

Chances are it will be OK. If it goes out the belt will be toast. You will loose your alternator and water pump, so pull over fast and shut down the engine.
