Default Possible vacuum leak

At idle my boost meter does not bounce around but stays at a steady reading of about negative seven or eight. If I am cruising and back off the gas it will drop to negative ten, but when I come to a complete stop it will hover around -7 or -8. Is this a sign of a vacuum leak? It used to bounce around a little until the engine heated up and then settle down, but I first noticed this after I had my Flowmaster 80 series installed. I am having a Magnaflow highflow cat installed in the morning. Is this something I should be concerned about the moment?

It'* possible. Though I'm no expert, a lot of SC owners have that issue with their boost gauge and have always thought it to be normal. I have a little movement in mine at idle, more so when cold, and I know of a place where I am leaking. I'd check your vac lines to be sure, and check your EGR pipe from the TB down.

EDIT: Take OFF your EGR pipe, the one I was talking about, and check for holes in it. I found a hole in mine at the bottom. When putting it back on tighten it a little more than usual.

Yes..I'd check the vacuum hoses and remember the ones below the airbox that go to the charcoal canister. With engine flex, those are common to get old and break

K, will give it a look. I noticed today that the -7 to -8 reading is only when I am running my AC. Other than that it will set very close to -10 at idle.
