That'll work, however some arms are notched and that cannot be done. Is this just a problem with the park position? There is a metal rod [about the size that of a coat hanger] that parks the wipers and tells the motor when it has reached that position or something. Occaisionally this becomes bent, and the wipers do not park properly. A quick way to test this, is turn the wipers on, and then off [so they park normally, on their own]. If they don't park all the way down under the cowl, push them in by hand. Do they go under the cowl? If so, that rod is probably bent. Somewhere around here is the thread with the instructions.

It'* behind that black plastic cover [not the one for the maxi fuse.. but the bigger one]. I believe the guy who came up with this idea owned an 87-91.. but I don't think it was posted in that forum. I'll try searching for it later on tonight. But yeah, it sounds like that is your problem. If I didn't already have enough **** removed off my engine, I would probably do it myself.. but honestly I am running out of places to put stuff, and ziploc bags to put screws in.
