I have had it with Raybestos.
After 5 sets of rotors I am vowing never to use raybestos again. I have gotten 4 sets on warranty in two years, they all warped. I have tried all the tricks. Cleaning the hubs, torqing to 80 then 100. re torqing each oil change. The last set had a shutter right out of the box. I have had it with the raybestos brand.
This time I am going with NAPA Ceramic pads and Wearever rotors from advance. Hopefully I will have better luck.
Even the raybestos pads I had were junk. They were the Ceramics, and the material was cracking off the backing plate. Im just really disapointed in them.
Just wanted to vent.

PS-This time I tried a 'Bedding' procedure I have heard autocross and racers using to break in new rotors and pads. If any one is interested I can post it.

Never heard of Raybestos rotors.
But their ceramic pads are the best. Especially with a good-quality rotor.
FYI, any 'run of the mill' rotor will fall victim to ceramic pads on the 87-99 generations. The larger rotors on the 2000 and newer hold up better.

When I replaced rotors and calipers on 98 there were two grades of Raybestos rotor offered at Pepboys. I bought the more expensive one. The other was lighter and matched the original GMs in mass. The more metal, the more heat it absorbs to reach a certain temperature. Better for braking hard.

Also the Bendix Titanium Pads don't seem to have the brake fade that the OEM AC Delco Dura Stop pads have... It made a world or diffrence on the 91... On the 95 it made the highway off ramps easy to slow down for

That may be true about the pads, but look at his post. He said he used 5 sets of Raybestos Rotors and had problems. Are you running Raybestos rotors too?
I recommend that you also take a look at the caliper slider and make sure that they move freely, and also the caliper piston movement too.
