upper intake on series 1
i was just reading around, and it looks like the 94 and up series 1 had a composite intake manifold - i was under the impression that all series 1 motors had the metal intakes... so...
1) is what i'm reading wrong?
if it'* correct, than
2) is it just as prone to upper intake failure as a series 2 n/a?
just wonderin cause i found a nice lookin 94 lesabre, and the thought of no leaky intakes sounded pretty nice... and a second lesabre would just be nice in general, cause i've loved the one we just bought so much...

92 was a transition year. Some of them have a ONE PIECE upper/lower of aluminum. The rest of the 92'*, and all the way through the 94'* have the composite/plastic upper, but it is NOT prone to the same problems as the Series 2.

My series I had an intake failure and hydrolocked the engine. I'm glad it did cause now I have a lower mileage engine sitting in my car.
