My list of problems for 92 SE
I just purchased a 92 SE with 136k miles and for the most part its a good car but i got as deal on it cause of the problems it has wich are now my turn to deal with and i'm seaking some advice on how to fix them, First off the cruise cotrol and the trunk release will not work i can't find a fuse for the cruise but the one for the trunk release seems to be okay, Then fuse for the power locks and power antenna seems to blow every few weeks and i'm wondering if anyone else has had that problem and if so whats causeing it. Also my twilight sentinal dosn't seem to be working, And when the engine is running it leaks gas and from what i can tell its the sending unit, However the bolt for the one strap is rounded off and i'm wondering how to get that off cause at this point i can't afford to take this thing into a shop so i gotta do all the work myself and so far its not going very well. I'm teaching myself automotive at the moment and this is pretty much my first car but not the first i've worked on and for the last few years i've been working on my family'* 92 olds 88 and 92 lesabre which are pretty much the same car. But anyway any suggestions on how to get this stuff fixed would be a big help.

on my 93 the cruise control took a little getting used to, but i dont use it enough to remember what i do to get it running...
if a fuse keeps blowing somethings drawing too much current, dont let somebody tell u to put in a bigger fuse or bypass it with a penny. does it blow right away?

Let'* recap.
Cruise Control does not function, Cannot find fuse.
Trunk Release does not function, Fuse seems operational.
Fuse for power locks and power antenna blows every few weeks.
Twilight sentinal does not function.
Leaks fuel when running, Seems to leak near pump.
Rounded nut on fuel tank strap.
Cruise Control, fuse should be under the dash on the drivers' side.
Trunk Release, Check for power along the circuit, Note where power disappears.
Power Locks and Antenna, There should be some action that makes this happen, try to find it.
Twilight Sentinal, Do you know how to operate the system?
Leaking fuel, Drop the tank and see if you think it'* coming from above it.
Rounded Nut, Buy a nutbreaker, $5.
A note to help you help yourself; Everytime you speak of a different topic, Go ahead and start a new paragraph and try to be a little more detailed.

For the trunk deal, look in front of the latch inside the trunk. You will see a rocker switch. Change the position from the current one and your trunk lock release will probably be restored.
It'* called the "valet lock" and it'* easy to inadvertently set it so the switch doesn't work from the passenger seat while putting groceries, etc., in the trunk.
Ask me how I know.

With the tunk OPEN, do you hear it TRYING to release? Do you hear a clicking under the passenger footwell?

Ok, your relay is good. You don't hear anything under the trunk lid? Check to see if the solonoid is even hooked up to it'* harness. It'* a cylindrical black thing in the trunk LID. Has a connector on it.
