Default Mysterious Factory Alarm

96 SSEi, factory alarm. I've searched other posts, but have found nothing to help. My alarm has decided to go off on its own. Mind you the fobs do not work anymore and I have tried reprogramming them with instructions found here. I dont wanna waste the money buying a new one and have it not work either after trying to program. I'm having to go out and unlock/lock by key to shut off. Someone mentioned Locking it by key on exit, rather than using the lock button will help. Is this true?

Also will buying an aftermarket alarm solve this prob? And to make matters worse, the neighbors love to complain cuz I hooked a set of PIAA 500/600hz Sport horns along with the stock so its plenty loud. As of right now all of them are unhooked and I dont like it.

Check your ground buss for corrosion. Could be causing a open on the door causing teh alarm to think it'* been opened.

While that sounds like a good idea to check, and I do thank you. Remember not everyone posting around here is exactly a gearhead. I may know some electronics and can turn a wrench or two... I have no idea what a ground buss is. I'm guessing its a fuse of some sort. I'll look it up.

Thanx
