Front Door Issues
For some odd reason, my front passanger door is sticking/not opening properly. The really weird thing is that it seems to dependant on outside temperature. If is is cold outside, it will stick or not open completely. When it is warm out, it opens just fine. It seems the plastic molding on the door is catching on the front fender whenever it is cold out. Does anyone have a diagnoses or suggestions?

It'* pretty easy to adjust the door alignment, just four nuts to loosen, but it sounds kind of like your plastic trim has come unattached and is bowing out in cold temps.

I've looked, and there isn't any ice build-up in the crease. Even when the door will open, it will squeak something awful. I don't believe WD-40 or PB Blaster will help this sort of squeak.

Yesterday I hit the hinges pretty well with some lube, cleaned out any ice nearby (appearantly there was some in the crease) , and it still is sticking and squeaking. Any ideas?

I know this is an older post, but I have the exact same problem. I live in LA, where the temp rarley gets below 40, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the problem. One day the trim sticks to the front fender and I need to knock it in or push it back, then all is OK for weeks. Then it happens again. I can only assume the clips or whatever that holds on the plastic body trim has loosened. I havent fixed it but its on my list as I rebuild my water damaged beast.

you can move your front fender forward by loosening the 10mm bolts along the top in the engine bay, screws on the wheel well side of the moulding thats in between the front wheel well and the door, and you may have to remove the corner light as well, then pull the front fender forward and have someone hold it or screw at least the top 10mm bolts back down.
I was in a fender bender on my pass front side that may have pushed my top engine rail?(the thing under the top of the fender) back a few mm or so. My door was always catching my new fender i put on, so i loosened everything up like i said, pulled it forward as much as i could and havent had any problems.
