Default Torque axis mount removal

How in the hell is this thing supposed to come off? All bolts and nuts are out of it, yet it refuses to move. Is this thing suppose to be a 2 piece design? If so, they ain't budging.

Which part are you haveing trouble with? The section that bolts to the engine or the section that bolts to the engine bay?
I know my L36 is different but for the engine bay section there are 2 bolts that aren't really visible on the bottom of that piece.

You may have to use a floor jack and move the engine up or down within the bay. Unbolt the subframe in order to lower and raise the whole assembly. When swapping in my cam and changing the timing set, we spent a few curse words on this stupid thing. You have to get all the bolts out, then twist and turn it just a certain way for it to come out. Putting it back in is just as fun :?. Just keep monkeying with it, and it'll come.

Remove top two bolts of frame mounted half, loosen bottom two a couple turns, remove mount cross bolt, support engine from below, remove nut off top engine half stud and the other 3 or so bolts from that half, raise passenger side of engine, monkey both around till one comes out. Remember to remove the top stud and take it to the hardware store to get a bolt to replace it with. It'll go back together a lot easier that way.

This thread was helpful. Car 94 Buick LeSabre. I took a cue from J Wikoff and bought two new nuts to use as jam nuts and screwed out the stud on the block. Could not get the mount out until I jacked the engine up about 1/2 inch or so. Can't imagine getting the torque axis mount out of my car without the stud out. I also removed the alternator and the battery. No one tells you about th battery.

That critter was a tough one for me, as well. Not even a long breaker bar leveraged with a couple feet of pipe would loosen the bolts holding the bracket to the car body.

Thankfully, I was able to remove the long bolt that connected it to the engine bracket, and I got the engine out of the car.

When I find the right sized bolt I will replace the stud in the event I have to do something like this again. It sounds to me like they used too much thread locker or got some kind of adhesive on the bolts in question. Not a nice job I am still sore from it.
