Default How high should Series II K idle in park.

My Series II K idles a tick under 1000 rpm in park while my C motor does 700.
What should it idle and what does everyone elses K motor idle in park?
Thanks

My 99 does the exact same thing. Appears to be normal and widespread. I've given it some thought and looked at some of the pictures on ebay of 3800 II that are for sale and if the interior pictures are taken with the engine running, you'll notice that it'* idling at about 975 RPM.

My tach reads about the same at idle as yours, but my scantool usually says about 200 rpm lower than that (scantool usually indicates about 750-800 rpm).

Default Tach

That could explain it. The tachs on our cars could be calibrated a couple of hundred
RPMs off.
I was just wondering if I had a vacume leak or something but if everyone elses
is doing the same thing I guess I'm good to go.
Thanks
