Coolant loss
I just was just looking under the hood and happened to knotice that there was maby an inch of coolant in the bottom of the overflow tank, it was just filled up 2 weeks ago so I am thinking that there is a problem. I have not noticed any puddles under the car. Any thoughts???

It'* gonna be a hunt. You're burning it somewhere. Upper intake, lower intake, or heads probably. Hard to say. It still could be an external leak, but only coming out when the engine is running, so there wouldn't be a puddle. Or a leak so slow, it'* evaporating off the intake or block from the heat. You just have to dig. At least you don't have the plastic upper intake to worry about. edited a few seconds later.....yes you DO have the plastic upper. That'* your primary focus now.

That plastic upper intake on the 95 and later VIN # K bonnevilles are some serious **** to worry about when you start loosing coolant... Also look at the water pump from the bottom of the car... You need to have the car off the ground but look abobe the oil filter and see if the weep holes are showing signs of leakage... If there are no signs at all, and you find no bad hoses, or leaks around the engine at all but the use of coolant gets worse, then susspect the upper intake as the culprit in your coolant consumption... Be very careful here.... We have had a few destroyed engines due to this very problem...
Good luck to you... Let us know if there is anything else you need to know...

50/50 on the mix. Checking the upper intake isn't really possible without pulling it apart. It'* a matter of ruling out the water pump, both radiator hoses, the heater hoses, and the coolant inlet and egr inlet on the upper intake. If you still don't see any evidence of a leak on the outside, you have to tear into it. Your intake may or may not be cracked at that point. It could be as simple as replacing the seals. If you don't fix it there, it could be the lower intake or (rarely) the heads. If you do tear into it, you'll know where it'* leaking. Water injection has a habit of cleaning things. You'll have a clean runner or two in the lower intake if the upper is leaking. If it all looks the same, you have to dig lower. Eventually, you'll find one or two clean cylinders. It'* a step at a time.
