WHAT ARE THE BEST PLUGS AND WIRES TO RUN IN A 94SE?????????
What would be the best recommended plugs and wires for my 94se. ALSO WHY DOES EVERONE SAY "DO NOT RUN BOSCH PLUGS OR WIRES ON A 3800 BECAUSE IT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE" Please leave me your best reason y bosch sucks and what plugs and wires i should buy to make this right.

Some people have had bad results with Bosch plugs, and Bosch anything on our engines (including O2 sensors). But a few people have had good results. I don't think it'* that Bosch plugs would cause damage, it'* just that they aren't the best compatibility with the 3800s. For the most part AC Delco or NGK plugs work the best. OEM wires or Taylors and MSDs are all good. Not too sure on Accel.

Bosch seem to fail from the heat as far as we can tell.
Other then that, i run taylors, i woulda bought MSD as well, they both came in red, but they were $3 more.
Taylors have color choices, red and blue can be had for $50 @ www.grandprixstore.com, other colors are available thru different vendors.
MSD are .5mm bigger, and $53 @ jegs.com
NGK/Delco (same brand, just more choices by NGK) are the best for our engine.

Street or performance: Taylor or MSD'* are perfect; either one is fine.
As for plugs Delco or NGK are fine, but the specific type of plug you need depends on what your car is setup for. I'm forced inducted so I use NGK V-Power TR6'* to keep the temps down somewhat. All V-Powers are copper which is great for cooling purposes. Platinum is good as well, but is more for the daily driver. I have no experience with Iridiums though...maybe someone else can fill in.

I have Bosch plugs (Platinum +4s) and wires in my 99. It'* been 35,000 miles and not one issue. So far, I'm real happy...especially since my gas mileage went up about 2 miles per gallon!!
I have Bosch wires in my 93 and AC Delco platinum plugs (because most people say the Bosch plugs aren't very good in the 3800). The 93 runs as well as the 99. I can't tell the difference.
I'm a firm believer in Bosch wires, though!! It will take some heavy proof for me to switch from Bosch wires. Plugs....that'* another story! I'm open for debate...

yea i put in a bosch o2 sensor and wires and my car has preformed better tremendously and so far. Still goin to get the msd wires and coils and ignition system

I use standard AC Delco plugs, but I'm not really psyched about the AC Delco wires -- mine only lasted about 10k before they started acting up again, and I don't know about anyone else, but I find it near impossible to remove the plug boots without further damage to the wire or boot, no matter how well I grease them with dielectric grease. My last wire change (3 days or so ago) I switched to Borg-Warner wires -- I guess we'll see how well those do.
