Default Got new wheels, do I need new struts

Hey whats up guys! I just bought 4- 2001- SSEi- three spoke wheels and put them on my 98 SSE. It has 235 50 17s on them. I'm planning on putting new struts on it. Should I get stiffer springs as well. It also had the two different rides, the touring ride, and the performance ride. Does this mean I have to get more expensive struts. Thanks

Welcome to the club!

Touring ride and performance ride are for the CCR struts, which are discontinued. You won't find them anywhere, and they are very common to fail anyway. So you'd be fine going with Monroe Sensatracs for your struts for example. Better than OEM performance too.

On the stiffer springs, you don't have to go stiffer, but if you want to you'll have to do all four as well as the sway bars. What suspension do you have now? Check your RPO label on the spare tire cover for FE1, FE2, FE3, etc.

Pete nailed it.... on the CCR stuff

and you "should" already have the FE2 which is the stiffest suspenion offered in your year...no need to upgrade for you
