You can do the UIM and LIM gaskets for about 150 easily. There'* a topic here regarding this:

The risk you take on in the wrecker motors is the possibility that the UIM or LIM gaskets have already failed. VERY careful inspection is in order. I suggest rolling the motor over and removing the oil pan. Look for signs of rust on the bottom end.

ya i know. considering if eather of these hasent failed should i go ahead and have them replace it? and if it has already been replaced what should i look for? besides the rust?
is the 77,xxx engine worth the extra $225 or not? or the 109,xxx for $450
