today she was running a little warm...
around about noon or so when it started to get hot (93 degrees) my temp gauge was staying a little warm, i was driving in town mostly. but i got on the interstate and drove an hour to souix falls to go shopping and it still stayed warm the whole way over like 188/192 we'll say? i hade the ac on the middle setting the whole time, but when i got to driving in souixfalls after stop and go and starting the engine and stopping it it stayed around 195/200 and the the interstate on the way home was the same as when i was going over (188/192) whats goin on? should i be worried or anything?
also i was thinking that maybe i should dril it too?

yeah, these things are all a litte diffrent. I got a 180 and on the highway it goes down to 170 or so and in stop and go it can get up to 205. so untill i get a fan switch i'm sweatin my junk off w/ the heat on and the windows open. that usually keeps it around 180 in stop and go. But don't be worried if it dosen't go above 200.

Most of the time I turn on the AC when the gage reaches 200 or more if I'm stuck in traffic. With the AC on, it stays around 195 or so no matter if the car is on the freeway or idling in traffic.
Without the AC off, however, it regularly reaches 220 in traffic (but never at highway speed) and the fan turns on to bring it down to 200.
Both my '92 and '93 have done this since I've owned them, and my '93 has a recently installed 180 tstat. My 2 bonnies are both are supercharged, and from what I can tell, the supercharged engines run hotter than the normally aspirated engines.
