Electrical problems on 98 SE
okay heres the problem.
my rear defrost want working and long story short i finally found the correct relay behind the hvac controls.
the problem was the the black wire plugged in to the relay was getting so hot that it melted its own insulation and the neighboring red wire (also plugged to relay). this black wire is only hot for about an inch out of the relay. so im going to just buy a new relay and go from there considering everythings working great now except the very hot wire and plug (fire hazard). i pulled the relay and i cant find any sort of part number of product info of any kind.
does anybody know the part number or where i can get one. i live in iowa and no rear defrost in the winter is not only very inconvenient its kinda dangerous.
thanks.

Sorry I don't have the part number, but I will strongly suggest you fix those wires before swapping out the relay. Most likely the connections in the relay cooked themselves as well and that'* why it'* no longer working.
