97 SE questions
Got a 97 SE with a fuel guage that reads full, when you turn off the key it reads 3/4. Any help would be great. Can Anyone tell me how to get the radio out of this where screws are? Where is the best price for things like fuel pump, sending unit?? Thanks everyone for the help

I am not really sure what you are trying to say??
Are you saying you want to replace something? We need a little better description of what is going on. Do you have one problem, or several?

So, the gauge always reads full then?
For the radio, I am not that familliar with the '96 - '99 years, so I may not be much help there...

My 97' did the same thing when I got it, from my understanding, it is a very common failure point on the 97-99 cars. New sending unit ran me about $150 from the local Advance Auto (special order item though), My pump was also almost gone then so I replaced that too about $115, and be 100% sure that you get a good gasket to seal the pump to the tank, the one I got with my new sending unit was too thin and I had to tear it all apart a second time to replace it with a good gasket from the dealer, $10.
All I've ever done to remove the radio is pull the trimpiece that surrounds it off, and about 4 7mm screws hold it in

GENTLY! pry the plastic around the radio up to release the plastic clips. The plastic runs all the way( in one piece) around behind the steering wheel. You have to twist it a little to get it out. After that its just a couple of screws..
HELPFUL HINT: Tilt the steering all the way down and put the shift selector in 1st gear for extra clearance.

I got the dash apart and the radio changed with no problem. Thanks For all the help. Anybody have any info on if a 1999 Lesabre fuel pump and sending unit will work in my car?
