Rite... Sometimes you have to find the correct wording when searching.

I had a A/C code 48, if I read it correctly it means heavy refrigerant leak. I hooked up my gauges and the system is full so I cleared the code and sure as **** the compressor fired up and it'* cooling fine.

The A/C is actually cooling better sitting at idle than before it threw the code, it seemed like before the head pressure was getting up there after sitting in traffic and it would start blowing not as cool. First I thought it was overheating a bit hitting 220-230 but it looks like they run hot from what I have been reading. I am seriously thinking about sending my ECM out to have the cooling fans temp range changed as well as what ever else the do to tweak them... They can change that rite???
If not I can see a additional fan in front of the condenser set at 185-200 in the future. It gets hot as hell around here and I tend to drive it like I stole it.. so I am not cool with that 230 crap

Maybe just a one time deal with the code, I don't know.... I am open for suggestions

God I love that Smilie dh2

If anyone can make the changes to your computer it'* these guys. Sinister Performance, LLC.

Keep a eye open for the code, might have been a fluke.

Its gotta be a fluke.

I put a drilled 180 t-stat in and pulled the radiator to check for crap blocking airflow over the weekend and have not really drove it untill tonight and I put about 100 miles on it and engine temp was a steady 190 and the A/C worked great. The temp was getting high enough before to were it started affecting performance and loosing boost and it really did not have to be that hot outside to do it so I was pleased with the drive tonight, not to mention I was starting to think it had a bad cat on it..

The more I drive this car the more I like it, people think its a sporty looking Grandpa car until it spanks that....Well...You know
