Default Dipstick Tube Removal?

Is there more to taking it off the tube besides unbolting it from the exhaust manifold and pulling it out?

I'd clean up the area a bit before yanking it out.. there is gonna be a lot of grime and dirt just waiting to fall into the hole once you take it out.

yea im taking it off because the part of the dipstick handle that has the o-rings on it.... yea i smacked the top of it and it it broke in the tube, so when i pulled the stick there was a chunk stuck in the tube, its stuck good and its brittle as heck so i i want to take it off so none of it goes into the oil
