Default Did my Bonnie have factory key fobs?

I just purchased a 1996 SE and wanted to know how / where I'd be able to get factory key fobs for this car. I'm pretty sure it came with it, but the previour owner didn't have them......PLEASE HELP!!!!

btw, great site...

We thank you very much!!

Keyless entry? You could scour ebay, but you need the FCC ID number off the remotes. Or the module under the dash I believe.

You may have to goto the dealer, give them your VIN and they should be able to help you out.

Welcome Aces,

I lose keys as often as some people change their shirts. You can look on ebay for them as "keyless remotes". You just have to match the year and car. New ones are pretty pricey at $35+. Used are a bit less, but the batteries aren't always too great.

Instructions on how to program them are included, and Danthurs put up the instructions in Techinfo which cover the '95-'99. All you need is a small piece of wire and 10 minutes. 8 minutes of which be in trying to use the diagram to make sure the jumper wire is in connections 4 and 8 of the OBDII connector.

Before you spend any money, it would be wise to verify the car is equipped with key less entry. Look for RPO AU5. Your RPO list will be on the spare tire cover in the trunk. Also double check that the vin listed on the cover matches the dash.
