It'* not too bad of a job...get the alternator and all the support arms for it off, there are 3 bolts to pull the tensioner. I didn't bother with trying to drain any coolant (stupid or lazy?) only lost a quart or so of mix...just refilled it later. I used a little high temp RTV sealant on both ends of the plastic elbow, and I took the O-ring off of the 2nd elbow and put it onto the metal tube on the other end of the tensioner. (like BillBoost said)..I think I may have put a little RTV sealant on the metal end too. No problems no leaks..I also did the valve cover gaskets and it looks like that took care of my oil leak too.

We had it done in 2 hours time. The only problem I seen was with the plastic coolant elbow (upper) . I tried using the new o-ring from the other (lower) coolant elbow but it was a smaller thickness. I don't think it will hold. I ended up cleaning the old one and reinstalling. The fit with the new (purple) one was just not right. It didn't seem tight enough. I did drain the coolant first.

Same problem with me ( Motormite/ HELP elbow kit ) . I wound up getting an O-ring to match the original at NAPA . Maybe some of MM kits had the wrong O-ring ?
