Default vacuum in the crankcase

read a few threads regarding "squealing" sounds, and this seemed to come up. so this is bad, eh? i took off my oil filler cap just for fun with the motor running, to see if my car "sucked." and it does. crap. so i guess the PCV o-ring is the first thing to check? any other suggestions?

if your o-ring is there, start checking under the hood for broken or cracked vacuum lines. usually, they'll make a nice sucking sound...

YUP, if you have vacuum present when removing the oil filler cap, you have a problem. Let us know what you find.

Old thread revival...this is what I have.

I have a HUGE amount of vacuum in the crankcase of our 98.

Im pulling the Lower manifold off tomorrow morning, and hoping to find a broken Gasket.
Im also hoping this fixes the Vibrating PCV Valve issue.
(I already made sure both O-Rings were there)

If not then im open to suggestions.

Start a new thread, please. This stuff could be outdated.
