Default dash question

i need to know what that little nipple looking thing is in the middle of my defroster on the top of the dash. it is on the right side of the head up. i know it is not the light sensor because that is to the left of the head up. please advise because i am really interested in knowing what that is!!

I always thought it was some sort of fastener. I will take a closer look.

If it is the black dome looking thing in center top of dash, then it would be the Sunload Sensor/Ambient Light Sensor.

this is the dome thing in the middle of the dash and it is not the thing for the twilight sentinel. that is on the left of my heads up display. i also do not think that is for my dig. compass because ive seen SE bonnevilles with it to. the Olds LSS has one on each side of the dash and when you take it apart it looks like a sparkplug(kinda sorta). i would love to know what that is.
