Darn P0102 code...
Not so much of a question more so a gripe..
Got the P0102 code earlier this summer, and it actually was the MAF going out. Replaced it with one that had 20 thou-25 thou miles on it and have driven about 4 thou since. Now, P0102 code again. Gonna take it off and clean it, and check at vacuum leaks today...any place in particular I should look for leaks? Could changing the air filter simply fix my issue? WHY IS THIS THE ONLY CODE I EVER GET?

To be truthful, I haven't changed it since last May...sadly was waiting for this job to get comfy so I had a good chunk of money I could do lots of car stuff with when I hit 150 thou.
Think changing it today would make a difference? Or, did my lax changing it cause me to possibly bust this MAF too?

It couldn't hurt. But I think the biggest help would be cleaning the MAF, be VERY carefull. Most of your parts store will carry cleaner in a spray can for just that, or in a pinch you can use rubbing alchol and a Qtip, but be very very VERY gentle.
How many miles are on e your car now? when was the last time it had a tune up?

149350 right now..
I haven't had a reliable job since I bought the car at 137xxx. It'* had regular oil changes, but nothing else, just little odds and ends now and then. When it hit 150 I planned on a major overhaul; flushes, sensors, the whole shebang. Guess tune up/overhaul starts a little early! Will go out now to clean it. Since the last MAF I cleaned was already defunct and cleaning was a lost cause, when I spray this one, do I need to let it dry or can I put it right back in?

Sprayed sensor down, put back in, and no issues so far!! Will buy new air filter tonight for it, but the sensor was pretty bad looking and looks shiny now so I believe it might have just been dirty. Hope so at least!!
