Lets start w/the parts needed. (Thanks Bill and Don for your help)
All Fel Pro stuff...
MS 95977-1 Lower intake gasket set (only the intake gaskets, rubber strips and sealant)
MS 95744 Upper intake gasket (SC gasket and o rings)
61024 Throttle body to SC gasket
ES 70599 (Need 3) Injector O Ring kits. 4 per pack.
Local Delco supplier had the coolant elbow Help 47065, package has two different ones in it.
While I was doing this, I wanted to change back to a 195 thermostat for the winter.
Stant 45849 Thermostat
35666 T stat gasket
35595 T stat gasket (ones rubber one'* the paper)
And..my car is almost 9 years old... original hoses still...hmmmm
Both heater core hoses
Both radiator hoses

Also 3 cans of brake clean (I'm not planning on running out), I clean all surfaces for a gasket. Brake clean works the best on oil and crud.
Forgot 3 cans of TB cleaner (morning errand, drive 1/4 mile)
Coolant..take your choice..I got Dex approved prestone
Plenty of razor blades for my 1.99 Napa special scraper
Rags..

Time to get to it. While the coolant was draining I started to work.
Step one...have a car present. Check

Take belts off tensioners and remove alternator by taking the whole bracket assembly and the alt as one piece.

Pull thermostat housing and flop out of way. There is a temp sensor below the housing cover area. There'* an insulating cover over it...turn cover counter clockwise to unscrew..and connector is accessible. Here'* the cover and area

Pull injector electrical connectors by removing the wire retainer clips.

Find cracked rotten vacuum line that is probably the leak you hoped to find.

Remove throttle body and gain a better understanding of why most BC'rs recommend pulling and cleaning it periodically. 1/8 to 1/4 thickness of gunk

Pics can't describe how filthy it actually is...

Ok..motor now looks like this, because I didn't pick up the fuel line release tool

A few bolts later...the supercharger is off and lower intake is exposed. I took the SC as a whole unit w/actuator and all...

Few more bolts and some hits w/a rubber mallet...the intake is now off. We can see the balance shaft in the center of the valley

Intake upside down

Backside of intake (Seepage was back driverside)

Front

I was a cleaning fool..here'* the head..clean and almost ready

At this point I swapped hoses...anyone ever tried this at home? The heat hoses are impossible w/o a spring clamp remover tool. I got mine at Sears..Craftsman 5-47390 paid around $35. On our cars, changing the heater hoses this tool is beyond priceless.
My hand is on the strut tower and the upper right is the heater box, can you see the hoses and clamps?

Another shot where you can see them disappear into the smallest area ever

Spring clamp tool....3/4 hour for all hoses..heater and radiator.. w/o tool...never happening.
Next... Most surfaces are cleaned up... gasket time!
Gaskets on heads

Don and Bill were very specific and had the instructions (included w/gasket) to a tee.
Put gaskets on head..blob gasket maker in all 4 corners

Rubber seal in place, blob on top in all 4 corners

Intake time.. Don said an extra set of hands for the coolant elbow would be nice... I agree, have had PITA parts experience and thought it was pretty easy.. to put the intake on myself. Probably because it'* got a nice handle in the middle...lol

Lined it up...dropped it in place and torqued 5lbs 9lbs then 11lbs in sequence.
Realized I forgot the TB cleaner... :( charger and throttle body MUST be cleaned out.
Found a little in a carb cleaner can....very little

Nice start but not going on like that. Still filthy
I stand back looking at my accomplishment so far

Nicccccceeee, but it wouldn't be complete if I didn't show you a pic of me on top of the car...I didn't get on the car...hmmmm I know..how about how I worked on it?

That'* it for tonight..I came in, ate dinner, showered and did the write w/pics for ya...

Hope you enjoyed it.

Ok...TB is clean and loooking great.

Supercharger is messed up beyond help.

While to took the throttle body off the charger and cleaned it..I then went to clean the inlet to the sc. It had the same amount of buildup.

CRC throttle body cleaner removes the epoxy coating from the rotors. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR ROTORS OR SUPERCHARGER.....with throttle body cleaner.

I'm bummed pretty badly and am looking for a S2 supercharger.

Don't bother, use the one you have. It may be a little less efficient because the rotor clearances are larger but it will still work just fine, mayvbe not peak performance but it will be fine.

Besides, anybody that uses water injection through a throttle body adaptor has absolutely zero coating on the rotors.

Water injection won't hurt the coating on the rotors by itself. Water will erode a Turbo if injected before the vanes, but not SC rotors.

If you mix Methanol with the water in a 94 or newer, damage would depend on how much you deliver. I inject inside my filter so the methanol is entirely evaporated before entering the TB, leaving only trace amounts of water.

It can be done safely.

Ok.. good news and bad news.

I'm only looking positive. Yesterday besides making this a multiple 30 pack project, I learned to pull apart a supercharger. Wow..talk about easy. (Bill..it was already seperating on it'* own.) Peeled the remaining coating.

Today I think I will begin testing. Uncoated rotors, I don't have scan data...but will go on basic feel to tell how much less effiecient uncoated rotors are performing.

Most everything else is ready to go back together and it seems like a opportunity for testing.

Got two backup vehicles incase it is a complete dog. However if anyone has sprayed a good lot of TB cleaner into the SC inlet before they probably have at least partial peeling themselves.

I will update on the naked rotor results in Forced Induction as this thread was primarily about the procedure and pics of LIM gasket replacement for other members not my ranting and testing about uncoated rotors. (will be asking admin for rotor problem clean up later)

Off to put an enging back together... With tons of pics!
