Default hole in my intake

Okay, should this hole be there? It'* right above the pcv valve in the upper intake. There seems to be some oil on the pcv and bottom of the map sensor, too. Is this what is causing the P0106 code? Car doesn't run funny, but I do have a check engine light on

I'm not an expert on the series II. Are the edges of the hole ragged? It looks a little irregular shaped.

It seems slightly irregularly shaped but not jagged, there is some kind of tube inside when loking down into the hole. Is this what the map sensor is checking or does it measure the pressure through the pcv?

That is where the MAP sensor is located, in that hole above the pcv. MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure. You are correct, it appears as if the MAP sensor is missing.

No, we're looking inside the map sensor sits on top. I removed it and the little housing it clips into. The hole is on the inside wall just above the pcv.

It'* normal. That hole is how the pcv system vents back into the intake. There is a tube on the other side of the hole, and it carries the crankcase gases to the center of the intake.
