ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS< PLEASE HELP, PLEASE
HI there,
I bought a 95 pontiac bonneville, and I love it. However there are 3 things I cannot fix, and really need some guiance on. I am pretty handy, but electrical troubleshooting is hard for me. The first and most serisous is the dash. I have the digital drivers information system, and the onboard compass. Usually in the mornings, when i start it, they flicker, on and off, sometimes off totally, they can give false readings, and they can skip from standarad to metric and back, after a while it usually settles down and works right. Thoughts?
The other is that the doors lock, but will not unlock... Relay ? And where would i find it.
Also the lumbar functions in the seats dont work. I found all the air valves for them under the passengers seats, and they work. I am assuming it is not getting air ? but from where.
If anyone knows anything about why the traction control turns itself off 10 seconds after i start driving that would be good to know too.
Thank you to anyone that can help me here, i have spent hours and hours on this already, and am not sure what else to do.
Thanks.

The traction control issue is common as well. It could be one of two main factors.
1) wheel speed sensors are not functioning correctly or they have a bad electrical connection. These are the sensors on the back side of the front wheel hubs.
2) The controller for yout TC is no longer functioning correctly. This is the issue I have, but I have never gotten it fixed due to cost and that I really don't need TC.
Seats.. not sure about that one.

Are you hearing any noises when you use any of the lumbar functions? You should hear an air pump noise. Do you know where the air pump is? Try holding down one of the lumbar functions and tap on the air pump at the same time.
