I have a 94 se and everytime I put a 40 amp fuse in the cooling fan and it blows as soon as the ac is turned on. Ne ideas!!

With the car off, attempt to move the fan blades. If they both move... disconnect one fan, and insert another fuse. Start car/turn a/c on. If that fuse blows, reconnect the other one, disconnect the 2nd one and try again. Or disconnect both of them and test fuse pop again.

I have and the radiator fan is the culprit. When I disconnected that fan and replaced the fuse, the coolin fan worked without a problem. So do I need a new rad fan

Yea the cooling fan...my radiator fan never worked independently. It was jumped from the connector from the car to a fuse that engaged it when I turn the car on. Recently that wire running from the fuse to the connector burned up and the radiator fan won't come on. When I tried to run another wire that burned instantly as soon as I turned the key to the on position.

Your car should have 2 fans. When wired from the factory, they will both come on at the same time, usually controlled by either the PCM or the HVAC system if you have autoclimate control.

When A/C is requested, the fans will goto LOW speed and depending how hot it is, the fans will goto HIGH.

When the PCM detects a hot engine temp, 212F, the fans will goto LOW, if the PCM sees 226F, the fans will goto HIGH.

With that said, I'm wondering if someone bypassed the existing system because they thought the fans didn't come on. We have had many a member coming here asking about that.

The wiring should come from the drivers side at the bottom of the radiator, goto the drivers side fan, then continue to the passenger side fan. Remove any and all funky NON-factory wiring. If need be, take pictures and post them.

I already removed the non-factory wire that was hooked up to make the radiator fan work because that wire started to burn and melt. They're no extra wires. If I plug the radiator connector in it blows my cooling fan fuse. If I leave the plug off my cooling fan works and doesn't blows but my radiator fan doesn't spin

If it doesn't spin by hand, then it is probably seized. You can disconnect that one and leave the other connected. One should be sufficient, but you should get that other one replaced.

It does spin freely by hand

Your confusing me with radiator fan and cooling fan. They are both the same. Cooling fans. They both turn on at the same time regardless of if its an A/C request or high engine temp.

Let'* get this narrowed down...
If both fans are connected, and you turn the A/C on, the fan fuse blows correct?

If you disconnect a fan, the fuse does not blow?
