Reset the ECU ?
Hi,
I posted a question in the introductions Forum about reseting the ECU after
modding my 97 SSEI.
Mods are : CAI, 3.4 pulley, TR-55'*, AC delco wires, drilled 180 stat, Magnaflow
res w/ Flowmaster. On other cars that I modify (Ford and Mopar) I usually
reset the computer. I haven't done this yet on the Bonnie because it runs
perfect. I have done these mods over a period of time and not all at once. I
assumed with driving, and on/off cycles, the ECU would adapt and change
the parameters.
Should I reset the ECU by pulling the negative ? Funny thing is that I would
have done this anyway but I'm not certain of the radio code. I guess I could
always pay a friendly vist to our local GM dealer.
Thanks for any and all help.

I've got many of the same mods and haven't. Since our PCM'* learn to a certain degree while staying within programmed ranges I don't think it'* necessary...
Rogue will probably be the best source of info though.

there is no real advantage of pulling the Battery cabels.....our PCM'* are very adaptive they will relearn all the 'stock' paramaters after a while
