Default Strut replacement suggestions on a 94 SSE with ride control

I want to bypass the system and get normal struts, my car has been making allot of noises going over bumps etc.

what struts are the best and some what cheap? car has 98k so dont want to spend allot, however dont want the 19.99 autozone ones either.

thanks

any good places to order sturts on line etc?

Can't get the CCR struts anymore :(

Monroe sensa-tracs are the strut of choice 'round here

Does anybody even have $19.99 struts?

My strut/shocks, at least the rear, are shot. I'm replacing mine with Monroe Reflex in the back and Sensatracs up front. Sensatracs I think run about $80 each...not bad at all. Reflexes are $105 each. Better than stock performance and really not too expensive IMO.

BTW.. not mentioned here yet. At 98K your car has tons of good miles left on it. Many here have reached 200K+ without significant issues. I replaced my struts wtih the Monroes as suggested above. Nice ride.

Is a four wheel alignment required after replacing the sturts?

I'll be replacing my struts soon. 156,000 miles has taken a toll on the existing ones.

In theory, you can do it without an alignment, but when changing brands, it'* not a practical thing. You should have an alignment done.
