Default Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later..

I now know the check engine light works. Just came on, wasn't doing anything exciting.
Cenex wants $50, local mech wants $20. Walmart sell a 2 reader/resetter for $100. Or wait till tomorrow.
Car seems to run fine.

to read the code? If so, find an autozone and they should read it for free.

97. Autozone, what'* that? We live in the sticks. There isn't an Autozone around here for 90 miles. The light went out now. Will the code still be in there tomorrow?

Can try pulling the batterry cable off for a lil bit and reconnect it and see if the code comes back. Coulda just been a fluke....

find an autozone or pepboys or something similar...they will likely scan for free.

If its the 97 the code will probably still be stored in there, so it would still be good to get it cleared.

Got the code, well sort of. Forgot it. Gordy has to email the scan readout. Fun time at MAG

P0336 sounds familiar, but could the crank pos sensor throw an error but still work?

Confirmed, P0336
