I have the same problem. I replaced my cassette radio with the factory cd, so I know the radio is not the problem. How do I get at the clock spring? Since all the buttons don't work, I don't think the tooth pick trick is going to fix it.

In a 92-95 car.. This is quite common. We need to search toothpicks to find the answer. The pusher pieces usually turn to peanut butter and no longer push the switches. Many have replaced them with toothpics dipped in JB weld

IIRC you don't need to remove the wheel. Just pop out the button pods. To test it you could check the wire at the radio for changes in ohms when you press buttons. In reality though, that'* more work than popping the pods and checking.
