Code P0123 TP sensor Circuit High?!?!?!
AND P0146 or 1406, I didnt have pen and paper at the time . It is the EGR Printle Position. Anyone have any idea what this(these) might be from experience :?: As soon as i start the car its fine until i hit the gas a couple times. then the check engine light comes on and my car goes crippled. Its at the dealer now, at least i got a grand prix loaner this time. He tried to manually override the EGR printle psoition and went from 0% to 100% and nothing cahnged, he said teh car should have died from doing that. SO, probably a new EGR valve$$$ But what about the P0123?
It seems everytime i do something good, something else breaks. Ran perfect for 5 years up until i started moddding 3 months ago. Theres been a ratio of about 2000 to 1000. Spend about 2 grand on upgrades and 1000 to fix things that break as a result. Uh well, to bee expected with 117k miles. Everything will be new again at this rate. thing that really bites is my wheels and tires are coming in tomorrow and the cars in the shop.

I suppose its possible for the EGR problem to cause the problem with your TPS giving a high voltage. I would get the EGR repaired first, then check to see if the code comes back. If it does then it could very well be a bad TPS.
You can test the TPS... The voltage should range from around below 1 volt at idle to around 5 volts at wide open throttle. You don't have to have the engine on to test it.

hmmmmm, thats a tough choice. The EGR is A LOT more then a new TP sensor!
I was watching as he checked the voltage of the TP sensor at idle and it was around 1.2 volts and should have been around .4volts. I dug up a lot of dirt last night on these horizontal EGR valves and apparently the pintle sticking is a common issue. Cleaning it sometimes helps. What im worried about is it seems like its not moving at all, not just lagging behind is a millesecond value.
IT all spells MO Money Mo Money Mo Money when you dont have time to do any troublehooting and its the daily driver.
I am seriously considering buying the EASE SCan tool for 350 bucks. I could really use one being that i have to drive so damn far to get to the dealership. I work in the city and they arent as kind as they are in the country! I called a garage yesterday to see if i could bring my car over just to have the code read to me while i was at work. The said sure! It'll cost you 75 bucks tho. I couldnt help laughing BEFORE i hung up. The dealership does it for free.

Nytro67, how is your car running so far? Any occurances of 1640 EGR Pintle Postion code? I'm having the same problem in my 95 bonnie, I'm just wondering if getting a new EGR valve solved your problem? I've already cleaned my EGR valve but that didnt solve my problem.
