I was getting code 21{ TPS high voltage} then I took off the TPS, reinstalled it, adjusted it a little and now I'm geting code 22 { TPS low voltage } does that mean the TPS is bad? or just not adjusted right, and How do you go about adjusting it ?

Wasn't the 92 TPS one you had to adjust to a specific voltage?

If the TPS screw hole has slots its adjustable to a specific range at idle position. I

I have the same problem with mine (the high voltage) but I don't know why.

I took my Throttle Body off to clean it and put it back together and started getting this trouble code too.
I don't worry about it cause the voltage is within specs and the idle and performance are better than ever.
Max voltage when testing the wires with a multimeter or testing with a scan tool should be 4.4volts if I'm not mistaken.

If your getting "voltage to low" that means that you won't get full acceleration or boost from the */c, cause the TPS is not adjusted properly (not sending the right signal to the computer).

I can't exactly remember off the top of my head but I think it is supposed to be turned all the way to the left (counter clock wise).
Loosen the set screws and turn it the opposite way that it is now as far as you can in the other direction.

You may still get the high voltage code but it should be fine unless the car runs like crap.

It sounds like the TPS is not adjusted right.

I had a 92 SSEi and had the same issue after I removed the TB to replace the LIM gaskets. I ended up loosening the screws that secure the TPS and rotated it until the check engine light went off. I'm not 100% positive that it was in the pefect position, but it was enough to not trigger the check engine light.

If we search TPS volts, I think we'll find plenty of information as to what the expected high and low readings should be with a multimeter.

Dutch.. he has an SSE..no boost.
