Im loosing my mind here people.
Ive always had this code come on now and then in my car, more often when the temps outside are sub zero, as they are today, its freezing and snowing like mo fo.
I changed my Supercharger last week, I could hear a hissing sound, turned out to be a leaking SC gasket, I changed that last night, all was well last night, now today, that light is coming on, I have gone over and over all vac connections with a fine tooth comb, nothing.
Lots of fuel PSI, Car runs GREAT, just this effing code I cant figure out.
Oh and I cleaned both ends of my positive batt. cable.

Did you check out Boosty'* thread regarding it? I believe that he finally ended up replacing the battery cables, and cleaned every ground that he could find paying close attention to the ground at the ICM.

I guess temperature/moisture could play a big role in grounds, especially old, crudded up grounds.
I guess, I need to do some digging in the FSM
Dealer sells the cables I would imagine

I'd imagine that the dealer would sell the cables, but you could probably get a better price at an auto parts supplier. However, before going that far and replacing them unnecessarily, I'd suggest cleaning up all the grounds, including from the battery, before replacing the cables.

P0171 has plagued a bunch 'o folks here as you've probably seen. Usually, the best advice is to just start cleaning all those grounds and cables, as already mentioned.

Don't forget to check under the cable boots for corrosion too.

I've seen more than a few battery cables where the corrosion has crept all the way down the cable just under the insulation. Remember that electricity moves along the exterior of a cable/wire.

All the grounds you're interested in should be on the ICM bracket (just underneath). They're held by the studs that hold the ICM bracket to the front cylinder head.

And make sure you don't have a plug wire near that O2 sensor. Have you pulled the boots off the battery cables?

Actually there'* only one piddly little ground under the ICM bracket on S2'*. The main ground is easily reached from underneath the front. It'* on the block.

Clean the grounds as well as the positives. Then.. take a look at the Evap purge soleniod vacuum lines. Make DARN sure they aren't reversed. Make sure you don't have any plug wires touching the O2.

MSN if you need for a 1/2 hour

Okay, So i had some reversed vac lines, that was instresting ,seemed promising..nope...PO171 comes on within one city block of driving or one minute of idling at any temperature, any speed, doesnt matter, I erase it, boom, it comes back...doesnt turn the light on..the light only comes on after a restart, even if you clear the codes before starting the car.
Its gotta be electrical, cause god knows, ill burn the car to the ground if it doesnt stop.
